2. All music to be own choice, unless otherwise specified.
A copy of the music must be provided for the Adjudicator on the day of
the Competition. All music must be handed in prior to the commencement of
the relevant section.
Please note:
Photocopies will not be returned in accordance with copyright laws. Video
taping of performances is also strictly prohibited under copyright law.
Please read AMCOS Conditions for Accompanist photocopies in front section of
Syllabus.

4. Time Limits will be adhered to and are based on times in previous
years.
5. No Competitor is to perform the same item in more than one section.
6. Competitors are expected to perform at the time indicated in the
Programme.

MacPAS Award - Special Conditions
1. Previous 1st Prize winners may not enter again for two consecutive
years
2. Competitors must be 25yrs of age or under as at 31st October.2008
3. Competitors must enter and perform in at least 3 other Sections,
one of which must be the Championship of their chosen age group.
4. Competitors are to present three pieces:-
a) Any Prelude and Fugue by J.S.Bach, or any two contrasting
movements from a Baroque Suite or Partita of equivalent standard.
b) Any movement of a Sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert.
Time limit for these two pieces is 16 minutes.
a) and b) are to be regarded as heats for the MacPas Piano
Award, from which finalists will be chosen to play:
c) A piece from the 19th, 20th or 21st Century.
Time Limit for C is 8 minutes.
The finalists must present this piece (c) on the Finals Afternoon 2nd
Nov 2008
5. The entire programme for the Award, must be performed from memory.
6. The Perpetual Trophy must be returned at least two weeks prior to
the Competition commencing.

CHAMPIONSHIP SECTIONS
To be eligible to compete in a Championship Section, Competitors must enter,
and perform in two other Solo Sections of their chosen age group. NOTE:
Duets/Trios or Popular Music Sections do not count as a qualifying entry.

Section 732: Ensemble - any age, piano to be judged in combination
with any instrument(s) or voice. Time Limit 6 minutes.
POPULAR MUSIC
This section is for music from film/TV themes, Musicals or
composers such as Elton John, Billy Joel etc. These sections do not meet
requirements for any Championship.
