Rules and Conditions of Entry
1. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any section if fewer than
three (3) entries are received.
2. All ensemble music will be own choice.
3. All ensembles can be any combination of Instruments, NB: A piano
will not be available at the venue, if a piano forms part of your ensemble
you will be required to supply your own keyboard.
4.
A copy of the score must be available for the adjudicator – it is necessary
to number the first bar of every line of music.
5. Music stands will be provided for the use of
competitors.
6. Photocopies for the adjudicator will not be returned in
compliance with copyright laws. All performances (including the
accompanist’s copy should be the original score or a certified copy if the
original is no longer available.
7. A Large Ensemble will consist of no less than 5 and no more than
12 players
A Small Ensemble will consist of no less than 2 and no more than 4 players.
8. Age Limits:
Junior Sections: 16yrs and under
Senior Sections: Open Age
9. Time Limits:
Junior : 8 min.
Senior : 10 min.
All time limits are maximums and these limits must not be exceeded.
These Time Limits are performance times and all material must be presented
within that time limit.
NB: An ensemble may be penalised at the adjudicator’s discretion for
exceeding their time limit.

Large Ensembles: $50
